Hints and tips

Press the Super key to open the Activities overview, then start typing to search your applications, files and settings.

Drag a window to the top of the screen to maximise it, or to either side to tile it against that half of the display.

Almost everything can be done without the mouse. Ctrl+Alt+T opens a terminal wherever you happen to be.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart
your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software vendor for
any Ubuntu updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or
software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If
you need to use recovery mode to remove or disable components, restart
your computer, hold Shift during boot to reach Advanced options for
Ubuntu, and then select recovery mode.
